Inter Kashi vs Odisha FC: Thoi Singh Rescues Late Point in 1-1 Draw

Inter Kashi fought back in the second half to earn a 1-1 draw against Odisha FC at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex on Saturday.

An own goal from Pratik Chaudhari gave Odisha the lead in the 56th minute before Thoi Singh struck late to bring Inter Kashi level.

Both teams looked for an early breakthrough, with Inter Kashi creating the first few openings.

Sajad Parray tried his luck from outside the box inside the opening 15 minutes, but his left-footed effort went wide. Wayne Vaz also had an opportunity after being set up by Jitendra Singh, but he could not find the target.

Odisha gradually started to create chances of their own.

Rahim Ali saw an effort from the left side of the box blocked in the 22nd minute, while the visitors also looked dangerous from set pieces.

Rahim had another chance in first-half stoppage time, but his effort went wide as the teams went into the break with the score still 0-0.

Inter Kashi started the second half positively, with Rosenberg Gabriel and Vaz both seeing attempts blocked by the Odisha defence.

However, it was the visitors who took the lead in the 56th minute.

Pratik Chaudhari turned the ball into his own net, giving Odisha FC a 1-0 advantage.

Odisha had an opportunity to extend their lead in the 76th minute when Mahmoud Eid connected with a pass from Lalrinfela Khiangte, but Inter Kashi goalkeeper Albino Gomes made the save.

That stop kept the hosts in the game, and they were eventually rewarded for their pressure.

Following a set-piece situation, Thoi Singh found space in the middle of the box and finished with his left foot into the bottom-left corner to make it 1-1.

Inter Kashi continued to push in search of a winner.

Aritra Das had a late opportunity from a direct free-kick, but his effort went high and wide.

Neither side could find another goal in the closing stages, and the match ended 1-1, with Inter Kashi earning a point after their late fightback.
