ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026: Full Schedule Announced

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially unveiled the full schedule for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, with 33 thrilling matches to be played across seven iconic venues in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5, 2026. The opening match will see host nation England take on Sri Lanka under lights at Edgbaston, setting the stage for a transformative tournament in women’s cricket.
The final will take place at the legendary Lord’s Cricket Ground, with the semi-finals scheduled at The Oval, ensuring that the tournament climaxes on the sport’s most hallowed stages. Other venues include Headingley, Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Hampshire Bowl, Bristol County Ground, and the 700th Anniversary Stadium in Wales, marking a national celebration of women’s cricket.
Game-Changing Moment for Women’s Cricket
Tournament Director Beth Barrett-Wild emphasized the potential of the event to revolutionize the perception and reach of women’s cricket:
“This is our opportunity to give women’s cricket, and women’s sport, the stage it deserves. Every run scored and every wicket taken will echo far beyond the ground.”
England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt echoed the sentiment, calling the tournament a once-in-a-generation opportunity to inspire the next wave of cricketers:
“Playing on home soil for the biggest prize, against the best players in the world—it’s going to be unmissable.”
The 2026 edition will feature a newly expanded 12-team format, with eight nations already confirmed and four more to qualify through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup
Qualifier in 2025. Teams will be divided into two groups of six:
Group 1: Australia, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Qualifier, Qualifier
Group 2: West Indies, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Qualifier, Qualifier
