NorthEast United FC produced a masterclass to beat Diamond Harbour FC 6-1 at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, equalling the record for most goals scored in a Durand Cup final ever and the first team since East Bengal to win back to back titles.

In a hard-fought Durand Cup 2025 semi-final match in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Polo Ground, NorthEast United FC beat Shillong Lajong FC 1-0 in a tightly fought game to reach the final.

Shillong Lajong FC announced themselves in the 134th Durand Cup with a 6–0 win over Malaysian Armed Forces FT, as Sana and Buam bagged a brace each in front of a roaring home crowd.
