South Africa secured a dramatic three wicket win over India in their Women's World Cup match at the Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Chasing a target of 252, the visitors completed the chase with seven balls remaining, handing India their first defeat in the tournament.

India began their ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 campaign with a 58-run win over Sri Lanka in Guwahati. In front of a record-breaking crowd of 22,843, Deepti Sharma (53 & 3/54) and Amanjot Kaur (57) powered India to victory after an early collapse.
