The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, has finally delivered its long awaited verdict, approving the All India Football Federation's Constitution. With this judgment, the Hon'ble Apex Court does not only resolve an eight year old judicial procedure but also clears the air of uncertainty that was looming over the head of Indian football and all of its stakeholders.

The Supreme Court has ordered the All India Football Federation to initiate an open tender process for ISL and Super Cup 2025–26 commercial rights, supervised by Justice L. Nageswara Rao, with a deadline of October 15, 2025. The Court acknowledged FSDL’s cooperation and postponed its ruling on AIFF’s draft constitution pending the National Sports Governance Act.
